Sharp PC-1210 BASIC programmable calculator

Description

With the PC-1210 Sharp was the first in the world to manufacture a BASIC programmable calculator. And although the specifications are meagre with only 512 bytes of programmable memory and a 4-bit processor, the BASIC implementation did feature all the things that mattered: Branching, Conditions, Subroutines, Labels and Indirect addressing. Of the total memory of 896 bytes, 208 bytes where used for the 26 build in variables (A...Z)> The remaining memory (688 bytes) left room for about 400 programming steps. Some sources say the PC-1210 had only 512 bytes of RAM.

The PC-1210 was followed by the PC-1211, which had more memory. The PC-1210 was later sold by Casio as the PB-100.
