Description


Two versions of the Siena were released, one containing 512KB of memory and the second with 1MB.

Because the Siena is byte compatible with the 3 series, all applications are interchangable. Most applications have been tweaked however to make the most of the limited memory and screen size of the Siena.

Even though the processor is only running at ~7MHz, I have never found the Siena to be slow. The Psion engineers have done a fine job in creating a full GUI interface into a device of this small size.

The Siena, like all other Psion devices, is programmable via the embedded Organiser Programming Language (OPL). OPL was first developed for the Psion II Organiser in 1986. After Psion retired from the PDA market, the project was changed to open source. The language is now developed on SourceForge in the opl-dev project.

The build-in calculator application is not the most advanced. Most advanced functions are however available or can be created through the OPL programming language.
