Description
The Nspire series is the most recent TI creation. It features a huge screen, which even supports grayscales, 32 MB of flash RAM and an interchangable keyboard.
The standard keyboard takes some getting used to, because the keys are all very tight together. But the good thing about this layout is I don't have to press some
alpha or
shift key every time I need a text character. An optional TI-84 keyboard is available. When this keyboard is attached, the Nspire behaves exactly like its predecessor.
The Nspire has 5 applications installed when new. Surprisingly one of the applications is a calculator! The other applications are
Graphs & Geometry,
Lists & Spreadsheet,
Notes and
Data & Statistics.
With a calculator performance index of 840 this calculator is by far the fastest device I have. It outperforms the 2nd fastest calculator, the HP-50G, by a factor 3.
