ASA CX-2 Pathfinder

Description

The CX-1 Pathfinder was updated in 1988 to be the ASA CX-1a Pathfinder. The exact differences between both models is not clear to me.
Additional info is appreciated!

I have a like new CX-1 and it has a lowercase "a" on the bottom of the 1 in CX-1. It is complete with the case, the original box, the manual, and even the receipt where it shows I paid 69.95, with 3.00 of that sales tax. It came from Marv Golden Discount Sales, inc. 8690 Aero Drive Suite 102 San Diego, CA ph 1-619-569-5220. It was purchased on 3/10/89

I put new batteries in it and it works just fine. I have seen the CX-2 and the CX-1 has a bigger screen, but I don't know what other functions the new one may have as the old one pretty much does it all. I remember my instructor had a Jepperson unit, and the CX-1 had it beat 7 ways to Sunday. All of the students in my class bought one of these after seeing mine and comparing it to the Jepperson unit. The best thing about it, is the size of the screen. it is very easy to operate and has tons of features.

I bought this while taking flying lessons for my private ticket and it has been in the box ever since. I tried to give it to a friend that just got his recreational licence, but he wasn't interested, so I plan to put it on flea-bay and see what it will bring, or maybe I will just put it back on the shelf as a memento of the beginning of my flying experience. I no longer fly, so it is just another gizmo I have in my collection.

I hope this info helps.......
